BALTIC MOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Booking conditions

Baltic Motion is the online booking site and trading name of UAB Magnus motus. We office address is Seimyniskiu str. 23-205, Vilnius, (registration no. 302605862). UAB Magnus motus is registered in Lithuania with the VAT number LT100006544012.

These booking conditions govern all bookings made with balticmotion.com, whether processed on our website or our partner’s distribution channels. Any booking made or order placed by a customer, whether through the company’s website or otherwise, shall be deemed as an offer by the customer to purchase the relevant package or other travel arrangements subject to these booking conditions.

No contract between the customer and Baltic Motion shall come into existence until Baltic Motion receives prepayment and issues a confirmation invoice.

Booking services with Baltic Motion are currently only available to persons who are at least 18 years old. Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult.

By submitting a booking, you warrant and confirm to us that you comply with these arrangements.

Baltic Motion operates in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for consumers.

2. Special requirements

Special requirements Any special requirements must be disclosed to the Tour Operator at the time of booking. The Tour Operator will use reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements or requests but this is not always possible given the nature of the destinations visited and availability of options outside a planned itinerary. Certain activities may be inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any way. All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed to the Tour Operator at the time of booking but the Tour Operator cannot guarantee that dietary needs or restrictions can be accommodated. Any special requests or requirements do not form part of these Terms or the contract between you and the Tour Operator and the Tour Operator is not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.

3. Terms of payment

Accepted payment methods: Baltic Motion accepts all major credit and debit cards, and for bookings made at least 2 weeks prior to the travel date, we also accept bank transfers.

Payment at the time of booking

Baltic Motion requires a deposit of 20% at the time of booking for packages with more than 31 days before departure.

Baltic Motion requires full payment at the time of booking for packages booked with less than 31 days before departure.

Remaining payments after deposit: The full payment (less deposit) for packages—both for groups and individuals—is due at least 4 weeks prior to your arrival, or upon confirmation of the booking, if the initial booking is made within 4 weeks of the start of travel. Some packages do require a full payment at an earlier date, but in those cases, the information is stated online in the package details.

4. Cancellation

GENERAL CANCELLATION CHARGES:

Our general cancellation fees are charged at a percentage of the total tour package price, as follows:
 More than 21 days before scheduled tour arrival date: 20% cancellation fee
 Less than 21 days before scheduled tour arrival date: 50% cancellation fee
 Less than 7 days before scheduled tour arrival date 75% cancellation fee
 Less than 72 hours before scheduled tour arrival date: 100% cancellation fee

Note: These are the general cancellation terms for all packages with the exception of Guided Small Group tours and Group bookings. Also please be advised that the cancellation fees for certain travel packages and services may be different, in which case the cancellation terms and fees are outlined on the tour package page.

Notification of cancellations: If you need to cancel you should notify your travel consultant as soon as possible.
If you need to cancel with short notice (48 hours or less before arrival), please let us know in an email to hello@balticmotion.com and then call our main customer service number or, if after business hours, our emergency hotline (the number is provided in our voicemail message).

5. Health matters

We highly recommend that those with specific health concerns or problems check with their General Practitioner who can give the all-clear to travel. Please be advised that ticks can be found in the Baltic Region, a small percentage of these carry the encephalitis virus. Those staying in rural areas should seek appropriate advice.

6. Delays

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any assistance in the unlikely event of delay at your outward or homeward point of departure. The provision of meals or overnight accommodation is entirely at the discretion of the carrier. Any such change will not enable you to cancel or change your booking without paying our normal charges.

Baltic Motion reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. In the case of any changes to flights or to scheduled travel by cruise, ferry, bus or train, the passenger is responsible for additional costs incurred as a result of such changes (e.g., additional nights at a hotel, meals, transfers, etc.). We, therefore, advise all customers to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.

7. Liability

Baltic Motion claims no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or schedule change due to weather, strike, natural disaster or any other cause beyond Baltic Motion’s control. Baltic Motion acts in good faith, and cannot be held responsible for any hotel, coach operator, airline, guide, restaurant or any other person’s or company’s acts, defaults or delays.

8. Complaints

Our goal is to provide excellent customer service, and in order to do so we maintain strict quality monitoring. If for any reason, you are unhappy with your tour package, we want to hear about it right away. We recommend calling our office as soon as any incident arises during your holiday. If you are unable to do so at the time, you must notify Baltic Motion in writing (hello@balticmotion.com,) within 30 days of your return or else you may jeopardize your right to compensation.
