DAY 1 / Vilnius
Arrival to Vilnius

Arrival to Vilnius

  • Arrival to Vilnius – the capital of Lithuania.
  • Meeting by Baltic Motion local representative at the airport and private transfer to hotel
  • Welcome dinner in the Old Town of Vilnius

DAY 2 / Vilnius – Kernave – Vilnius

Start the day with a walking tour of Vilnius’ Old town. You will discover the largest Old Town in Eastern Europe as the guide introduces you to the main city highlights.

Lunch outside Vilnius 

Afternoon excursion to Kernave (35 km from Vilnius), UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first capital of pagan Lithuania. Here you can climb on five hill forts and admire impressive view of river and forestry hills.  Enjoy a walk through the forest paths following the Neris river loops of Neris Regional Park.

DAY 3 / Vilnius – Trakai – Klaipeda – Nida

This morning you leave Vilnius and head towards Lithuanian seaside with a number of exciting sighs on your way.

First stop and a short walking tour in Trakai, the former capital of Grand Duchy of Lithuania with its a beautiful insular castle of the 14th century, situated on an island in the middle of a lake. Trakai’s unique location on the peninsula surrounded by five lakes has it dubbed itself the “town on the water”.

Continue to Klaipeda for a ferry to Curonian Spit. The long, thin Curonian Spit is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and national park that provides numerous hiking opportunities and a wonderful place for nature lovers.

First stop at the Hill of Witches continues with hiking along the beach and the Dead Dunes.

DAY 4 / Nida

This day is devoted solely to discovery of the UNESCO Heritage sight and the most carefully conserved area in Lithuania – the Curonian Spit. Here you will climb the North Europe’s highest dunes, where you can see a panoramic view of both the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. While walking along the trail you will be amazed at how the landscape changes from sunny pine forests and lagoons to dunes and picturesque fisherman villages that nowadays are transformed to cozy sea resorts.It is the perfect place to immerse yourself in tranquil surroundings and admire the distinctive nature of this place, listen to the sounds of waves and birds and look for your inner peace.

Optional activity in the afternoon: trip with fisher’s boat on the lagoon

DAY 5 / Nida - Hill of Crosses - Kemeri Park - Riga

Departure to Riga after breakfast  (360 km).

Short city tour in Klaipeda

Stop at the Hill of Crosses a mystical and unique pilgrimage site with more than 100,000 crosses from all around the world.

12:00 Lunch at local restaurant close to the Hill of Crosses.

Walking in Kemeri National Park (2 hours). Established in 1997, Ķemeri is the third largest national park in the country by area, covering an area of 381.65 km². The territory of the park is mostly occupied by forests and mires, the most significant of them being The Great Ķemeri Bog

Stop at Jurmala on the way to enjoy this small resort town in Latvia.

Arrival to Riga

DAY 6 / Riga

After breakfast, we invite you to explore the Old Town, the most enchanting part of Riga and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the beauty of this ancient Hanseatic city, while strolling through the cobble-stone and picturesque streets of the historic centre of Riga. The walking tour of the Old Town includes the most significant sights of Riga like the Dome Cathedral, the Church of St. Peter, the Large and Small Guilds, Riga Castle, the Three Brothers, Blackheads House, the Swedish Gate.
Then, pass by Freedom Monument we continue to discover some of Riga’s greatest examples of art nouveau, including the buildings of Albert Street and Opera House.

DAY 7 / Riga - Gauja National Park - Lahemaa

This morning you will leave Riga to visit Gauja National Park, called “Latvian Switzerland”. Gauja National park includes the valley of the Gauja River and together with its tributaries, it forms a particularly original landscape. The territory comprises more than 500 monuments of archeology, architecture, history starting with the 11th century.

Enjoy a 2-hours walk in beautiful forest pathways along rivers, stop to admire a scenic view on the 13th century Turaida Castle, take the aerial cable car from Sigulda to Krimulda,

After the lunch at traditional Latvian tavern, you will visit Turaida Castle, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Latvia with its Livonian order’s castle ruins, the observation tower, and history museum.
After the castle visit, we drive to Lahemaa National Park in Estonia (300 km).

Lahemaa offers visitors a chance to visit the historic Estonian manor houses and admire the beautiful coastline, which includes stops at the former coastal fishing villages of Altja and Käsmu and experience the peaceful life of the countryside.

DAY 8 / Lahemaa - Tallinn

Lahemaa National Park is known for its bogs and the best way to get around in Estonia’s bogs is bogshoeing. We invite you for 2 hours of bogshoeing experience. Bogshoes are like snowshoes – except you wear them in bogs when there is no snow. The soft and squidgy surface, amazing landscape, bog pools, fascinating plant life, and the legends of the bogs make bogshoeing an unforgettable experience.

DAY 9 / Tallinn

Explore the best of Tallinn’s charming Old Town on the walking tour.
Visit the historic Town Hall Square and hear stories about how the weather-vane got its name and which famous recipe was invented in the Town Hall Pharmacy. Admire Toompea Castle and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, and explore the Lower Town’s medieval squares and churches.

Walk in St. Catherine’s Passage, one of the most picturesque Old Town lanes. End your tour with a visit to the city’s oldest existing building, the Dominican Monastery, which dates to 1246.|

  • No prior reservations are made upon this request; all offers are subject of availability and time of booking.
  • The Agency has a right to replace the proposed hotels to similar or upgraded level of hotels.

Terms of payment:

  • Baltic Motion must receive first prepayment of 25% of the total price of the travel services 35 days before group arrival.
  • Baltic Motion must receive final prepayment of 75% of the total price of the travel services 14 days before group arrival unless agreed differently.

In case the prepayment as estimated above is not paid in time Baltic Motion has right do not provide service for the Agent.

Terms of changes & cancellations:

  • Changes and cancellations must be submitted and confirmed in writing form to Baltic Motion;
  • If the Agent cancels the reservation Baltic Motion has to apply the following cancellation policy:
  • 35 days before group arrival date – 0 % loss of the total price of the travel services.
  • 34 – 20 days before group arrival date – 25% loss of the total price of the travel services.
  • 19 – 14 days before group arrival date – 40% loss of the total price of the travel services.
  • 14 – 7 days before group arrival date – 50% loss of the total price of the travel services.
  • 6 – 4 days before group arrival date – 80% loss of the total price of the travel services.
  • 3 days and less before group arrival date – 100% loss of the total price of the travel services.
